Custom Home & House Painting · Walker, MI
Walker sits on the northwest side of Grand Rapids, with Alpine Avenue as the main run and Standale as the small downtown. Housing is mixed: older homes, 1960s and 1970s ranches, and newer pockets off the main roads. It is an easy drive from our Caledonia shop up US-131, and we paint the residential streets and the commercial interiors along Alpine.

Walker is not a lakeshore town and it is not Heritage Hill. It is a working northwest suburb with a real mix of stock. The paint job has to hold up on an older Standale exterior and look clean in a newer pocket off Alpine. Same crew. Different prep.
Newer Walker pockets still need a finishing crew that shows up on the date the builder gave you. We plan around that. US-131 makes the shop-to-site run predictable, which matters when trim and flooring are stacked on the same week.
Cabinets and doors from a Walker kitchen go to Alto, get sprayed, and return. Alpine-area commercial millwork can run the same shop process. A dedicated spray shop is how we get a level sheen you cannot fake with a brush in a dusty garage.
Older Walker and Standale exteriors need real prep, not a coat over chalk. Freeze-thaw on the northwest side is the same Michigan weather as everywhere else, and skipped scrape work fails the same way. We handle full interiors and weather-rated exteriors, including the mixed siding common on 60s and 70s ranches.
A shop-sprayed cabinet finish updates a Standale kitchen without replacing the boxes. That is a frequent ask on homes that are otherwise in good shape: keep the layout, change the color, get a durable topcoat.
Lived-in northwest-side homes. We mask, cover, and leave the house ready for dinner. Alpine commercial jobs get sequenced around open hours so a storefront is not out of business for a paint week.
US-131 makes Walker a straight shot from the Caledonia shop, so we staff it like any other Kent County job, not like a distant add-on. Josh Frontjes has run the company since 1999. The Google rating is 5.0 because the walkthrough happens.
